Livinus Nwosu has disputed the viral claims made by activist Harrison Gwamnishu regarding a widow allegedly being dispossessed by her late husband’s family, insisting the narrative shared online is false and misleading.

In a video circulating online, Livinus alleged that the woman abandoned her husband during his illness and was frequently travelling instead of caring for him. According to him, it was the deceased’s father who looked after his son throughout the period of his sickness in his own house.

He also claimed that the video Harrison Gwamnishu shared, which showed the father-in-law locking a gate, was recorded in 2024 and not after the man’s death as widely believed.

“The Woman That Harrison Gwamnishu Posted That Her Father-In-Law Wants To Take Over Her Husband’s Properties Is False And Not True. That Video He Posted Where The Father-In-Law Was Locking The Gate Happened In 2024. The Woman Abandoned Her Husband When He Fell ill And Was Traveling And Sl€€ping Around. It Was The Father-In-Law, Whom Harrison Has Now Locked Up, That Was Taking Care Of His Son In His Own House When He Was Critically ill. In This Video I Exposed What Transpired.”

The fresh claims come days after Harrison Gwamnishu alleged that the widow’s in-laws forcefully took over her late husband’s house in Ikorodu, confined her and her two children to a single room, and attempted to sell the deceased’s belongings. Following the outcry, the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) and the police intervened, leading to the arrest of the father-in-law while investigations commenced.

Livinus’ counter-allegations have now reignited debate on social media, with many Nigerians calling for a thorough investigation before drawing conclusions.
