Prominent Kannywood filmmaker and director Malam Aminu Saira has taken a second wife.
Saira tied the knot with his second wife on Friday, August 31, 2026 in a colourful ceremony in Azare, Bauchi State.
The wedding Fatiha attracted colleagues, fans and industry stakeholders from across Northern Nigeria who flooded social media with warm wishes.
Meanwhile, photos of the filmmaker with his two wives are making the rounds online, sparking mixed reactions on polygamy.
Sharing one of the photos, a Facebook user, Aisha Lawal hailed Saira, describing him as the perfect definition of a strong man who doesn’t hurt a second wife just to make the first one happy.
“This is the perfect definition of a STRONG MAN. They do not allow the fear of their first wives to prevent them from doing the needful or hurt their 2nd wives just to make their first wives happy. They exercise their power and authority as the head of the family to unite their first and second wives like this.”
