Nigerian broadcast journalist, Aniekeme Finbarr, has lamented over the disappearance of the title “Mrs” from official documents and business cards of married women.

The former Special Assistant to ex-Akwa Ibom State Governor, stated this in a Facebook post on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

According to the 2024 U.S. Department of State IVLP Global Impact Award Winner, it seemed women came together to make the decision to remove the title from their documents.
