Media personality Daniel Regha has taken a swipe at social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) over his involvement in the ongoing dispute surrounding Psquare’s Peter and Paul Okoye and their elder brother, Jude Okoye.
Regha accused VDM of turning sensitive matters into content, describing his approach as “Clout, main character syndrome.”
In a series of posts on X, Regha also referenced VDM’s previous involvement in the investigation into the death of singer Mohbad, arguing that the case was eventually diverted from its original focus.
He wrote, “And this was how the Mohbad’s case was twisted, and eventually lost its purpose to date; Same way the Dangote and Phyna’s late sister case was thrown into confusion.
“Clout, main character syndrome.”
Regha further defended singer Phyno, who had been mentioned in the controversy, saying, “Phyno has nothing to do with those two unserious brothers, leave him out of this.”
He also warned people against sharing sensitive information with content creators they do not trust.
“Never trust a content creator who can’t keep a secret, your conversation is their next ringlight podcast,” Regha wrote.
His comments came after VDM declared his willingness to put ₦50 million into the Okoye brothers’ matter to prove his position to Peter Okoye.
VDM said, “VDM is god and you all are common men. Why should I remove my mouth from the Okoye’s Matter when every other people are talking about it ? You’ll rather cryy. That’s how you did during mohbad’s time. I was the one that held everything together then, Mohbad’s case is still going on today cos I said they should DNA. They almost Kp@! Naira Marley if not for me. I’m ready to give 50 million Naira on this case to prove my point to Mr P”
Regha’s post has since sparked mixed reactions, with some social media users agreeing with his criticism while others defended VDM’s involvement.
