Nollywood actress Aminat Ajoke Abubakar has expressed gratitude to her senior colleague, Damola Olatunji, as she finally graduates.
While sharing photos of herself and the actor over the years, she revealed that Damola sponsored her education throughout her ND and wanted her to go further and get her HND, but she declined because she didn’t want to be a burden to him.
She said when she brought her husband to him, he rejected and told her to complete her education before marriage. Aminata revealed that she and his then partner, Bukola Arugba, had to beg him before he agreed.
The upcoming actress said that when life happened and her husband passed away, he comforted her and asked about her education.
With God’s grace, and his prayers
and support, she finally graduated with an HND. She appreciated him for the advice and for pushing her not to give up.

You sponsored my ND when I had no one. After I finished my ND in 2015, you still told me to go further and do my HND. At that time I said no because I didn’t want to be a burden to you. I didn’t want to keep disturbing you with my needs. When I came to show you, my husband, that I wanted to marry you, you told me it wasn’t the time and that I should finish my HND. Iya Ibeji was with you that day; she helped persuade you and begged you to agree. My husband and I were doing well, and we had a child. Even then, you never forgot me. You kept asking, “When will you further your education?” I kept saying, “Give me time, I will.”Then life happened. My husband passed away. In my pain, you still reached out, comforted me, and asked again about my education.
Today, by God’s grace and with your prayers and support behind me, *I have finished my HND. All the advice you gave me, all the times you pushed me not to give up… it worked.
