Nollywood actress Funke Etti has opened up about an uncomfortable experience she allegedly had with a movie director while working on a film project.
Speaking during an interview with Doyin Kukoyi, the actress recounted how she was initially informed by the producer that she had been selected to play a lead role in the movie.
According to Funke, the situation took an unexpected turn when the director asked her to meet him privately in his room. She agreed to the meeting, explaining that she generally respects people in positions of authority within the industry.
However, she alleged that the director’s intention was not strictly professional. Funke claimed that he attempted to persuade her to have sex with him, but she turned down the advance.
The actress further alleged that after she rejected him, the director went to the producer behind her back and spoke negatively about her suitability for the role.
She claimed that the director told the producer she was not the right person to play the character, which she believed was connected to her refusal to give in to his alleged demand.
Funke’s revelation highlights some of the challenges actors may encounter while navigating the entertainment industry and the importance of maintaining professional boundaries on movie sets.
her words…
“I was on a movie set where the producer told me I would play the lead role. But the director said I should come and see him in his room. As someone who respects authority, I went.
He tried to lure me into having s3x with him, but I refused.
Shockingly, after I said no, the director went behind me to tell the producer that I wasn’t perfect for the role – just because I refused him.
