Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has broken her silence after backlash over her birthday post.
Newsunplug reported on Monday that Funke came under fire for her birthday post. The movie star, who turned 49, had shared glammed photos of herself with a simple prayer to God.
Her birthday post came when many were grieving the loss of Yoruba Nollywood veteran Taiwo Hassan.
In a post on her social media pages, she thanked the public for the prayers, messages, calls, and love she received. She said she felt it all and appreciates them.
Praying for God to bless them, she appreciated them for making her birthday even more special.
“I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for every prayer, every message, every call and all the love you showed me. I felt it all, and I truly appreciate you.
