A Metropolitan Police officer who publicly called his colleagues ‘wastemen’ on his podcast has been sacked.

PC Idominik Efeotor, of the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, was dismissed this week without notice at an accelerated misconduct hearing.

At the hearing on Monday, he was told that Mr Efeotor published podcast episodes and social media content between 2024 and 2026 while identifying himself as a serving officer.

He initially declared the podcast as a business interest, but permission was later withdrawn.

In brazen videos posted to TikTok, Mr Efeotor discussed alleged ‘corruption’ and ‘racism’ in the force while, in another, he described a senior colleague as a ‘wasteman’.

Other videos included ‘offensive, insulting and derogatory language’, it was heard.

In one clip, the ex-officer alleged that there was ‘discrimination across the board’ in the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.

Mr Efeotor also published material that could have led to the identification of an officer who was subject to an anonymity direction, according to Scotland Yard.

He was warned on multiple occasions about his posts but continued to upload content to social media, the force said.

The panel said his actions amounted to a breach of the standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct, orders and instructions, authority, respect, and courtesy and confidentiality.

Mr Efeotor was dismissed without notice and banned from policing.

Commander Adam Slonecki said that Mr Efeotor had breached social media standards ‘on many occasions and despite repeated warnings’.

He added: ‘Not only does behaviour like this undermine public confidence in the Met, but it had a harmful and lasting impact on those he openly criticised, as well as the rest of his colleagues.

‘There is no place in policing for anyone whose values are so far removed from what we would expect, and it is right he has been dismissed from the organisation.’
