Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has come under criticism on social media following a video he shared reacting to the reported death of veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
The development comes after the late veteran’s son announced that Olu Jacobs died on September 16, 2026.
In his announcement, he thanked God for his father’s life and appealed to bloggers and social media influencers to respect the family’s privacy.
Reacting to the news, Emeka Ike shared a video of himself visibly emotional and weeping uncontrollably.
In the video, the actor reportedly expressed regret that he did not get the opportunity to see Olu Jacobs before his death.
However, rather than receiving sympathy from everyone, the actor’s emotional display has attracted criticism from some social media users, with several people questioning the manner in which he reacted to the veteran’s passing.
