Singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has reportedly demanded DNA tests for the children he has with Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple before he can take responsibility for them.
The demand comes after Ashabi, who has been described as Portable’s fourth baby mama and third wife, allegedly threatened to take legal action against the singer over claims that he abandoned her and their children.
Portable has now reportedly asked that the paternity of the children be established through DNA testing before he accepts responsibility.
The latest development adds to the ongoing tension between the singer and Ashabi, who share two children.
The pair have had several public disagreements over the course of their relationship. In January 2026, Ashabi’s complaint against Portable following an alleged altercation at his bar led to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.
Their dispute has continued to play out publicly, with Ashabi also accusing Portable in June 2026 of failing to consistently provide for their children before he reportedly sent ₦200,000 for their upkeep.
The latest DNA demand has now added another twist to the strained relationship between the singer and the actress.
