Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw by AS Sobemap in the first leg of their CAF Champions League first preliminary round tie at the Moshood Abiola Sports Complex, Abeokuta, on Sunday.

Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side scored the curtain raiser in the 23rd minute through Iwundu Chidozie.
Sobemap stunned their hosts by scoring the equalising goal early in the second half.
Rangers pushed for the winning goal but the visitors were resolute at the back.
The teams will clash in the reverse fixture next week Sunday.
