Saeed Saleh Gambazi, a resident of Rikkos community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, has been m8rdered by unknown assailants.
Saeed, who left home on Friday, September 18, 2026 was found d3ad and abandoned around Bauchi Ring Road.
His remains were later and moved to the Old Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) morgue.
The family, still in shock over his d3ath, said they couldn’t believe Saeed was k!lled, adding that the reason behind the murder was unknown.
Salifa Saleh Gambazi, younger sister of the deceased, was the first person to be informed about the incident.
“When I dialed his number, someone picked the call. I asked about the owner of the phone, but was told to take heart as the owner had been k!lled,” she said.
“He told me that my brother was st@bbed in the back and d!ed on getting to the hospital. I asked how we could recover the body and he told me to go to Anguwan Rukuba Police Post. Thereafter, we were directed to the Nassarawa Police Division. From there, we were taken to the morgue where we took his body for burial.”
The father of the deceased, Saleh Abdu Gambazi, described the d3ath of his son as a great loss to the family, noting that his son was peaceful, dedicated and focused.
The family explained that the deceased left home on Friday evening but did not return at night, a development that got them worried, especially as his phone number was unreachable.
They said almost all family members dialed his number, but it was not reachable.
Narrating how he received the news of the d3ath, Saeed’s father said, “ I got to know the d3ath through my wife because I left my phone at home but followed me to a neighboring house to inform me about the incident. News
“My son was calm and jovial; everyone can attest to that. The loss is traumatizing and painful. The way he was killed was so sad. Nothing will clear off the pain because we did not expect such a thing. I will live to remember him. It is not only me, all members of the family feel the same,” the father said.
Sharing her pain, the mother of the deceased, Hajaratu Abubakar Aminu, described the perpetrators as cruel.
She said though she has left everything in the hands of Allah, the demise was very tragic and painful.
“I was confused over this; I have lost a son that will be remembered at all times. Only God knows the degree of the loss.”
The mother recalled her last moment with the deceased saying while she was preparing to visit a neighbor for condolences, she left him at home boiling water for bath, and she told him to lock the main entrance of the house before leaving.
The family disclosed that though there is no clear information about the perpetrators, the police have assured them that they will not rest until they are arrested and brought to book.
