Popular media personality, Nedu Wazobia, has expressed concern over the rising cost of living in Nigeria, describing survival as a daily struggle for many citizens.
Speaking in a recent video, Nedu highlighted the increasing costs of essential needs such as school fees, house rent, food, transportation, fuel and healthcare.
According to him, many Nigerians who earn salaries still find it difficult to make ends meet because of the growing financial pressure they face.
He also noted that the harsh economic realities have pushed some people into actions they never imagined they would take in a bid to survive.
“People are doing things they never imagined they would do, hurting people, betraying people, cutting corners, not necessarily because they were born wicked but because survival has become a daily battle in this country.
“We just want an economy where working hard can actually mean something, where a parent can provide for their children without stress and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up tomorrow with a little less fear and a little more hope. At least we deserve that,” he stated.
The media personality’s comments come amid growing public discussions over inflation and the increasing cost of basic necessities, which many Nigerians say continue to put pressure on their daily lives.
