Content creator Kamo State has reacted to the support he received from veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD, after the movie star featured in a skit to promote Kamo State’s debut cinema film, Star Lomo.
Kamo State shared the promotional video on Instagram on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, alongside a caption that appeared to address those who had doubted RMD’s willingness to support the project.
According to the content creator, he had previously been told that RMD would not promote the film. However, the veteran actor’s decision to participate in the promotional skit proved otherwise.
“I was told he won’t promote my film,” Kamo State wrote, before expressing his appreciation to the veteran actor. “Thank you sir @mofedamijo.”
The post quickly attracted attention online, with fans and several personalities reacting to the collaboration and RMD’s show of support.
RMD’s gesture adds to the growing support Kamo State has received from prominent figures in Nigeria’s entertainment industry as he promotes his first cinema project.
The film has generated conversations on social media, with some critics expressing reservations about the project. Despite the criticism, several established entertainers have publicly rallied behind the content creator.
Popular actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele is also among the notable personalities who have shown support for Kamo State and Star Lomo, further highlighting the backing the project has received from influential figures in Nollywood.
