Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has chosen nine new people to help run different parts of the state government.
The governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya, has picked new officials to help him run the state government.
He appointed three people to be commissioners, two people to be special advisers and four people to be senior special assistants.
The three people picked to be commissioners are Dr Ahmed Wali Doho, Nasiru Adamu Degri and Dr Muhammad A. Bello.
These three names have been sent to the Gombe State House of Assembly, which is the lawmakers in the state.
The lawmakers will need to approve these three people before they can officially start their jobs.
Two people were picked to be special advisers.
They are Abdulmalik Jibrin and Mohammed Nuhu.
They can start their jobs right away.Four people were picked to be senior special assistants.
They are Jibrin M. Ali, Sadiq Abubakar who is also called BB Kumo, John Launa and Danlami Sanda.
They will help with political matters and community engagement.
The governor said these new appointments are to make sure the government works better and to help carry out his plans to develop the state.
Inuwa Yahaya first became governor in 2019.
He was elected again in 2023 to serve another four years.
The governor runs the state through the state executive council and different government offices that handle different parts of government work.
