American football star Aaron Rodgers has made fresh claims about his failed engagement to actress Shailene Woodley, alleging that she told him she wanted to sleep with another man shortly after he proposed.
Rodgers said he proposed to Woodley in December and she accepted, but claimed that only days later, she told him, “Before you get married, I gotta f**k this guy.”
According to Rodgers, Woodley removed her engagement ring by March, and their attempts to reconcile later in 2021 did not work.
He also disputed claims that he was responsible for Woodley’s depression or that he abruptly ended their relationship, saying she had told him she no longer wanted to be with him.
“There are just a lot of narratives out there that are just not true,” Rodgers said.
Rodgers and Woodley began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in February 2021. They split later that year.
