Afrobeat artist Skales has spoken out on the constant beef and war in the music industry.
On his social media page, he said he believes the beef in the industry could one day lead to loss of life.
In a message to his colleagues and their fans, he urged them to stop promoting hostility, stressing that love and respect were better than spreading hate.
“One day all this beef that y’all are promoting will cause the loss of lives in this Nigerian music industry … pls y’all better stop before it’s too late … love is cheaper than hate so is respect”.
Not done, the singer used himself as an example and opened up about his experiences in the industry. He said people he thought were on his team betrayed and lied to him.
According to him, people he believed were on the same team lied to him and called him jealous because they had the spotlight and were pushing different agendas.
“In this industry, I was betrayed, lied to, and called a jealous person. People I thought were on the same team told many lies about me because they got the spotlight and pushed different agendas to downplay my greatness, but this is 2 decades in, and the boy is still shining and more relevant than ever… No better help than God’s mercy.
God bless my mom for teaching me how to pray”.
