A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after claiming that a mother was allegedly deported from the United Kingdom by her daughter and son-in-law following a disagreement over payment for taking care of her granddaughter.
According to the lady who shared the story, the mother had travelled to the UK to help her daughter care for her newborn baby.
However, the situation reportedly took an unexpected turn after the mother asked her daughter to pay her £12 per hour for looking after the child.
The lady claimed that the daughter was unhappy with the request and eventually arranged for her mother to return to Nigeria.
“A mother was just deported from the UK by her daughter and her son-in-law after she told her daughter to be paying her £12 per hour for taking care of her newborn granddaughter. The daughter heard it and deported her mother back to Nigeria.”
The claim has since generated discussion online, with social media users sharing different opinions about whether family members should be paid when they travel abroad to assist with childcare.
