“Happy 36th Birthday to My Darling Daughter, @ted_abudu

Today, 12 September, I celebrate my darling daughter, @ted_abudu.

I have probably told this story a few times, but here it is again. On the evening of my birthday, 11 September 1990, we were enjoying Chinese food at home when my contractions began. Before we knew it, we were in the hospital, and sometime in the early hours of 12 September 1990, my beautiful baby girl arrived.

The best birthday gift anyone could have wished for. And 36 years later, you remain one of my greatest blessings.

Temidayo, you are a woman who walks her own path, thinks for herself and lives life on her own terms. Your independence, strength of character and authenticity are qualities I admire so deeply.
I thank God for your life every single day. I am immensely proud of the woman you have become. A serial entrepreneur, director, producer, writer and the force behind an incredible culinary business. You are also a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter, and you play each of these roles with so much grace, strength and love.

You are always there to support me, and I never take that for granted. I pray that God continues to strengthen you, guide your steps, bless the work of your hands and grant you the desires of your heart. May your new year be filled with joy, good health, abundant blessings and beautiful new beginnings🙏🏽.

I love you dearly, my darling girl. Happy birthday”.
