Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, better known as Itele, has expressed pride in himself as he becomes a Guinness World Records holder.
Newsunplug reported on Saturday that Nollywood broke Guinness World Records after over 51,000 people gathered at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos to watch ‘Black Market’.
The Guess World Records executives confirmed it during the event, announcing that it is now the largest audience gathering ever for a film screening.
Black Market surpassed the previous record of 43,624 set by Felix Manalo in the Philippines in 2015. The movie was produced by Rixel Studios and features Omowunmi Dada, Lateef Adedimeji, Uzor Arukwe, Linda Ejiofor Suleiman, Scarlet Gomez, Itele, Teniola Aladese, Susan Pwajok, and others.
Following the record-breaking achievement, Itele, via his social media page, reflected on his humble background, saying he went from being a boy from Agbado to getting recognised across the world.
Itele said you sometimes have to look back at where you started to appreciate how far God has brought you, truly.
