Ghanaian actress Nana Akua Addo has allegedly been hospitalised following alleged domestic abuse by her husband.
From videos that circulated online, the actress was seen beaten and slapped in an unidentified space in her home. In another video, she was spotted in a blo*died cloth at an undisclosed hospital. The voiceless clip shows the injuries inflicted on the ebony beauty. She was captured with a swollen lip, a cut under the eye, blo**died cloth and floor.
Newsunplug reached out to Nana Akua Ado; however, she has yet to respond to confirm or deny the reports.
Nana Akua became a topic in Nigerian households due to her unique and tongue wagging outfits at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA. She is a German-born Ghanaian model and actress.
Reports said the actress married her long-time partner in a private civil ceremony in March 2022.
Recall that Nana Akua Ado’s outfit for the 2026 AMVCA sparked many reactions after a Paris-based designer, La Mode Unknown, publicly accused her of copyright infringement.
The foreign designer accused Nana and her Nigerian designer of theft despite the latter claiming he was inspired.
She was also called out a few years back when Ezinne Olivia, a Nigerian designer, accused her of not giving the needed credit for her AMVCA outfit.
Newsunplug reported that the Ghanaian style icon took social media by storm with her stunning outfit, designed with 3D non-conventional material, at the 10th edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Some time back, popular Nigerian photographer and singer, TY Bello, opened up on her ordeals after suffering sexual abuse. In a social media post, the talented artiste spoke about the incident that plunged her into a deep silence because she couldn’t find the voice to speak up about her abuse and how God was her saving grace.
In an extensive note, she remembered how she was molested at 7, how the abuse slowly killed her, took away her voice and taught her the importance of stepping up.
She recalled her inner battle, how she put shame in its place, and how she sought justice and freedom.
