The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress NDC, Peter Obi, has said that he has no evidence to prove his claim that he won the 2023 presidential election but he is certain he won the election.

Obi at the time ran as the presidential candidate of Labour party.

During a recent interview with BBC Africa, Obi was asked whether he had evidence to prove that he won 2023 preidential election. Respodning, he said

“There’s no evidence. Everything is not based on evidence.”

He, however, immediately maintained his position, saying, “I won the election and that’s where I will end.”

The former Anambra State governor was also questioned about his repeated claims that the 2023 election was rigged, despite the courts dismissing his challenges to the outcome.

“I don’t like going back to the past. I sustain what I said,” Obi said
