Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has written a message to young people after visiting a mother who wanted to sell her baby.
Sharing a video from the visit, she revealed that she heard of a woman who wanted to sell her baby to an unknown person.
The movie star said she was moved and had to go there herself; unfortunately, the mother didn’t open up about why she wanted to sell the child. Martins said she gave her money and went.
In a message to youths, she admonished them to abstain from sex or insist on a a condom if they are not financially stable enough to take care of a baby.
“News got to me today that she gave birth today and wanted to sell the baby to an unknown person.
At some point, I didn’t want to involve myself, but when the informant told me the neighbours dragged her out and left the baby alone at home, and he’s been crying uncontrollably, I was moved and had to go there.
On getting there, she was already released and was currently with her baby.
Probably out of fear, she wasn’t ready to open up about why she wanted to sell the child.
I just had to give her some money and go.
Dear youths, please, if you are not financially stable enough to take care of a baby, please abstain from s3x or insist on a condom”.
