Atletico Madrid star, Ademola Lookman, has revealed what manager, Diego Simeone told him before he came off the bench to score against Manchester United in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Lookman, who had gone six matches without a goal, scored the second goal for Atletico Madrid against Man United.
Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo after the encounter in Spain, the Nigerian international said Simeone told him before he stepped onto the pitch to bring energy into the match and help his teammates defensively and offensively.
“Just bring the energy, try to help the team, defensively of course and offensively when I get the chance to do so, yeah, bring the energy,” Lookman said when asked what Simeone told him before he came from the bench.
Atletico Madrid will face Espanyol in the LaLiga in their next game on Saturday afternoon.
