Manchester City manager, Enzo Maresca, has admitted the two early goals they conceded against Paris Saint-Germain affected their morale in the Champions League clash.

PSG went into the break three goals up on Wednesday night, thanks to goals from Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha.

Although Erling Haaland pulled one back with a flicked header, Maghnes Akliouche restored the Ligue 1 side’s three-goal advantage.

Haaland then completed his brace as City suffered their first defeat in all competitions this season.

“We started well but conceded the two quick goals and that created bad feelings,” Maresca said.

” In the second half we were much better and deserved something more.

“It was strange as until the first goal we played good, we were in the game. It was very difficult and then when you concede two goals in two minutes it becomes even worse.

“We adjusted something at half-time and didn’t lose the balance. We adjusted the way we pressed and what we did on the ball.”
