Social media activist VeryDarkMan has sparked political debate after making claims about Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s alleged political affiliation and his relationship with singer Davido.
In a statement circulating online, VeryDarkMan alleged that Adeleke had always been associated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), despite his public political identity. He also suggested that the circumstances surrounding the governor’s election had connections to the ruling party.
According to the activist, Davido was aware of his uncle’s alleged political affiliation but maintained a different public position because openly confirming it could have affected Adeleke’s electoral chances.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke has finally shown Nigerians what he has been hiding all this while. He has always been APC. Many of you didn’t know that the election in Osun State was an APC primary. Davido knew 100% that his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, was APC. He was only against them in the public eye because he knew that if his uncle openly confirmed he was APC, he would lose the election,” VeryDarkMan said.
The remarks have drawn attention because of the political implications of the activist’s allegations, particularly his claims about Adeleke’s party affiliation and Davido’s alleged knowledge of the situation.
