Como manager, Cesc Fabregas has revealed that he told his players to slow down after they went four goals up against Manchester United.
The Serie A side eventually conceded a late Joshua Zirkzee goal and ended up winning 4-1.
Nico Paz was the star of the show for Como, scoring twice and setting up the second goal for Anastasios Douvikas.
The fourth goal arrived in the 76th minute after Jacobo Ramon headed in a cross.
Fabregas has now claimed he instructed his players to reduce their intensity after Ramon’s goal.
“I regret the last ten minutes because I was the one who told the team to slow down the tempo because there’s another match and at 4-0 we could manage things a little,” Fabregas said.
