Queen Ashley, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has been left emotional as her son begins school.
On her official social media page, the Queen of Ife shared a video of the emotional moment her son began his first day at school.

The mother of two said her heart has been overflowing with gratitude, love, and pride as her son’s milestone is more than starting school; it’s the beginning of a beautiful journey.
She disclosed that before he left for school, his father and grandfather prayed for him, while she covered him with every prayer a mother’s heart could offer.

“A beautiful beginning, rooted in heritage.
At just two years old, my precious sonshine, Ademakinwa, has taken his first little steps into education, and my heart overflows with gratitude, love, and pride.
This milestone is more than starting school; it is the beginning of a beautiful journey rooted in the heritage of his forefathers, our Yoruba culture, and the blessings of generations before him.
Before this important step, his father, the Arole Oduduwa, Olofin Ajalaye, the Ooni of Ife, lovingly prayed for him.
His grandfather, Baba Oba John Oluropo Ogunwusi, showered him with blessings, while I, his mother, covered him with every prayer a mother’s heart could offer. What a beautiful foundation!
I thank Olodumare for the confident, courageous, intelligent little boy you are becoming. From birth, I have nurtured you with love, discipline, kindness, respect, and pride in your Yoruba roots and royal heritage.
Watching these values blossom in you fills me with joy.
My darling sonshine, thank you for being such a brave, strong, remarkable little boy.
You amaze me every day!
And yes, our first school day came with tears! You cried, and Mother cried too!
But seeing you settle beautifully and now enjoy school makes my heart so happy.
Your father (Baba e) and I are incredibly proud of you, our precious sonshine!
May Olodumare guide your footsteps, protect your destiny, and surround you with divine favour. May no evil come near you, may your feet never lead you into danger, and may your destiny never be diverted.
May wisdom, knowledge, confidence, good character, and ancestral blessings follow you always.
My darling Ademakinwa, this is only the beginning of greatness.
Never forget whose son you are, where you come from, and the values upon which you were raised.
With all my love, prayers, and pride”.
