Comedian Basketmouth has posed a question to those who love flaunting their cars and mansions online.
In a social media post, he questioned the need to flex one’s wealth on social media. The award-winning comedian questioned who they are trying to impress with their lavish lifestyle.
He noted how the rich have it way better, and the póor can only admire from a distance, and only if they have data.
Basketmouth mentioned how such people spend billions on supercars they can barely drive in Lagos. He questioned whether their garage is a racetrack.
He pointed out how they are spending lavishly meanwhile the potholes are getting bigger and the floods are getting deeper.
Basketmouth ended his post saying true wealth doesn’t need an audience, but moves in silence.
“When you post your fleet of cars and your mansions on social media, who exactly are you trying to impress?
The rich, who probably have way better? Or the póor who can only admire from a distance, if they have data.
You spend billions on supercars you can barely drive in Lagos. Is your garage a race track?
Meanwhile, the potholes are getting bigger, and the floods are getting deeper.
True wealth doesn’t need an audience. It moves in silence”.
