Victor Osimhen is edging closer to becoming Galatasaray’s all-time leading foreign goalscorer, NEWSUNPLUG reports.
The Nigerian striker has scored 68 goals for the Turkish Super Lig giants, placing him third on the club’s all-time scoring list.
Former Argentina international Mauro Icardi currently leads the ranking with 77 goals, while Romanian legend Gheorghe Hagi is second, having netted 72 times for Galatasaray.
Osimhen strengthened his bid for the record with a brace in Galatasaray’s 2-1 derby victory over Fenerbahçe on Monday night.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to the season, recording nine goals and three assists in nine appearances across all competitions for Okan Buruk’s side.
With his scoring form showing no signs of slowing down, Osimhen will be eager to continue his rise in the rankings and cement his place among Galatasaray’s greatest goalscorers.
