Former Norway striker, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has admitted he is keen on a return to Manchester United as manager.
Solskjaer was permanent head coach of United between March 2019 and November 2021.
The 53-year-old has now claimed he has unfinished business at Old Trafford.
“Of course it would have been nice to have the opportunity again,” Solskjaer said.
His comments come amid increasing pressure on current head coach Michael Carrick.
Carrick has failed to win United’s last nine fixtures, and they sit only one place above the relegation zone.
Solskjaer has, however, backed him to turn the team’s fortunes around.
“Michael has what it takes to take that club forward. I think he’s the right man. He understands the club, understands the fans and knows what’s needed,” Solskjaer said.
