Nollywood actor Ibrahim Suleiman has revealed an unknown truth about his wedding announcement.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the actor, who tied the knot in 2018, revealed that he and his wife never planned to announce their wedding.
According to him, he and Ihuoma Linda tied the knot a week before the announcement and kept everything under wraps; unfortunately, a journalist learned the news and forced them to make a statement.
He said the journalist reached out, saying he loved the couple. However, his sources had confirmed they were married, and he was about to run a story on it.
Ibrahim said after the call with the journalist, his wife urged him to beat them to the news and control their narrative by announcing their wedding.
The father of one said even his father-in-law agreed, noting they had kept things too quiet, and it was time to let the cat out of the bag.
“A journalist called us and said I like you guys, but I see what is going on. My sources have confirmed it. He said he would give us 24 hours and then his team would run the stories.
When my wife called me, she said we have to own our narrative. We spoke to our father-in-law, and he also noted how our friends and inner circles have tried to keep our wedding secrets, and it is time to let it out”.
Elsewhere in the interview, the actor opened up on the heartbreak of being broken up with by email. He noted how he has been a good boy all his life and treated people’s daughters properly, yet they showed him shege.
Opening up on the love he shares with his wife, he said she is the one he can vouch for who can give up everything for him.
