Galatasaray climbed to 18th place in the 36-team Champions League league phase table after a 2-0 win over Stuttgart at Rams Park on Tuesday.
While striker Victor Osimhen played the full 90 minutes without scoring, Aleksey Batrakov’s first-half brace sealed the victory for Galatasaray.
Osimhen put up an impressive performance against the Bundesliga side at home.
The result means Galatasaray now have 6 points from four matches as they handed Stuttgart their first defeat of the campaign.
It also marked Galatasaray’s second win of the league phase, after the Yellow and Reds beat French club Lille away in their previous match.
Galatasaray are behind Manchester United (17th position) on goal difference.
They will face Aston Villa in their next Champions League match later this month.
