Former Arsenal defender William Gallas believes Real Madrid could tempt William Saliba into a move if the LaLiga giants attempted to sign him from the Gunners.
Gallas was speaking ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Hull City in the Premier League at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
“Are Arsenal at a high enough level now that William Saliba would turn down Real Madrid if they came in for him?” Gallas told SeatPick.
“If we are talking about the history of Real Madrid and Arsenal, then Real Madrid is Real Madrid. They’re on a different level.
“Any player who has the opportunity to go to Madrid, they will try to go there. You could not blame Saliba if that is his decision.”
Arsenal signed Saliba from Saint-Etienne in 2019 and the France international is widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League.
