Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has opened up on her feud with colleague and former friend, Eniola Badmus.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, she recounted an event when Eniola told her that she was no longer her friend.
“She said I am not her friend and I said I don’t want to be your friend if you don’t want to be mine.
While touching on Eniola’s public apology to her, Laide said the apology wasn’t from her heart and was from her PR. She said she believed Eniola’s PR told her not to engage in a public fight with Laide and to be the bigger person.
“The apology wasn’t from her heart but from her PR. Maybe they told her, ‘ She is going low; you don’t go lower; be polished, put up something peacefully ‘”.
Taking a dig at her, Laide said Eniola isn’t fine without filters and makeup. She added that even with the weight loss, she is still not more attractive than her.
“Take up makeup and filter, she isn’t fine. Even with the weight and everything, she still cannot”.
Reminiscing about their past friendship, she described it as lovely, recounting how Eniola would visit their family house and they would eat together.
“If I look back, it was so lovely between us; she comes to my family house regularly – regularly. She knows my mother; my mother will cook, and we would eat together”.
