Arsenal have opened a six-point gap at the top of the Premier League table.
The Gunners claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Hull City on Saturday to confirm they will be top during the November international break.
Mikel Arteta’s men struggled to find a way past the newly promoted side for most of the game.
But the winning moment came in the 72nd minute, after Noni Madueke’s effort was spilled back into the penalty area.
Captain Martin Odegaard reacted most quickly to prod the ball into the net.
This result takes Arsenal up to 27 points after 10 fixtures.
Manchester City can cut the lead if they win at Nottingham Forest in the late kick-off.
