Nigerian businessman and social media personality Blord has revealed that he recently sought a ₦5 billion loan from a commercial bank to expand his importation business.

According to the entrepreneur, the bank has now contacted him to ask why he is yet to proceed with the loan application, despite previously expressing interest in securing the facility.

Blord made the revelation while sharing details about his business dealings and his plans for expansion.

He claimed that after approaching the financial institution for the substantial loan, the bank reached out to him again, informing him that the funds were available and questioning why he had not returned to request them.

“I approached a particular bank for a ₦5 billion loan to expand my importation business. The bank reached out to me today, asking why I haven’t requested the loan yet, saying they are ready to offer it to me,” he said.

The businessman’s statement has since attracted attention online, with social media users reacting to the size of the loan he claimed to have been offered.

@Elan James:”That’s a serious level of business confidence. ₦5 billion is no small money. 👀💰”

@Foxy:”Technically, banking regulations and credit risk protocols don’t allow banks to beg people to borrow billions. This is pure PR fiction.”
