A fresh controversy has erupted after claims that a referee analyst working for @teledeportertve used an alleged AI-doctored image while discussing a possible Real Betis penalty incident involving Brahim Diaz. The image was reportedly used to suggest that Betis should have been awarded a penalty for an alleged handball by the Real Madrid midfielder.

What has made the situation even more shocking is the claim that the image was not authentic. According to the report, the edited version changed key visual details, including Brahim Diaz’s boots, which appeared as Nike, as well as the font and yellow lines on his Real Madrid kit. These changes have raised serious questions about how the image was created and why it was used in such a sensitive refereeing debate.

For fans, the issue is bigger than just one penalty call. In football, refereeing decisions already create enough tension, but using an altered image to support an argument can damage trust even further. When technology is involved, especially AI, accuracy and honesty become even more important.

The incident has now sparked strong reactions, with many calling it shameful and unacceptable. Whether in match analysis, television commentary, or social media debates, football deserves fair discussion based on real footage, not manipulated visuals. For Real Madrid supporters, this is another reminder of how quickly one edited image can create a false narrative.
