Afcon: Leading Top Scorers So Far

Algeria captain, Riyad Mahrez is currently the leading joint-top scorer at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Morocco.

This comes following the conclusion of the AFCON Group stage match-day round of fixtures played on Wednesday.

Mahrez has two goals to his name, alongside Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson and Tunisia star Elias Achouri.

The former Manchester City winger netted a brace in Algeria’s 3-0 win against Sudan on Wednesday, while Jackson scored a brace against Botswana on Tuesday, and Achouri scored two goals in his side’s victory against Uganda on Tuesday.

AFCON top scorers ahead of Group stage match-day two round of fixtures starting on Friday:

Two goals – Riyad Mahrez, Nicolas Jackson and Elias Achouri

One goal – Lyle Foster (South Africa), Semi Ajayi (Nigeria), Ademola Lookman (Nigeria), Amad Diallo (Ivory Coast), Marvin Anieboh (Equatorial Guinea) and Mohamed Salah (Egypt).
