Controversial Anambra native doctor Chidozie Nwangwu, popularly known as Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki, has been spotted at an APGA political gathering weeks after his early release from prison.
Nwangwu was released in September after Governor Chukwuma Soludo exercised his prerogative of mercy to remit the unserved portion of his sentence. The state Attorney-General, Tobechukwu Nweke, later explained that the decision followed his plea bargain, expression of remorse and the relatively short period left on his sentence.
Following his release, Nwangwu was also assigned a role as an Ambassador for Youth Reformation, under the terms of the arrangement that led to his early release.
A video now circulating on social media shows the native doctor at an APGA political gathering, where he appeared alongside other attendees.
His appearance has triggered mixed reactions, with some social media users questioning his involvement in politics and others suggesting that his release may have been linked to political interests.
