Nigerian cleric Bishop Funke Felix-Adejumo has shared her views on feminism and the role of empowered women in relationships, stressing that women should support and complement men rather than see them as competitors.
The respected preacher described an empowered woman as a blessing rather than a threat, arguing that a woman’s strength, achievements and independence should not be viewed as a danger to her partner.
Speaking on feminism, she clarified that she does not subscribe to an ideology that disregards men or promotes unnecessary competition between both genders.
In her words, “An empowered woman is a blessing and not a danger. I don’t believe in feminism that disregards the man. I am not competing with any man, I am completing my man.”
Her statement has sparked conversations about feminism, gender roles and the importance of mutual support between men and women in relationships.
