A suspected ATM card scammer was beaten mercilessly by an angry mob in South Africa.

According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) The incident occurred at a shopping centre on Friday, November 21, 2025.

“At approximately 19:59, members of Reaction Unit South Africa responded to a call from a shopping centre in Tongaat – KwaZulu-Natal, following reports that a man was being assaulted by a crowd,” the RUSA disclosed in a statement.

“Upon arrival, Reaction Officers found a 36-year-old man bleeding extensively from multiple injuries. It was established that he was part of a three-man gang that targeted ATM users and robbed them of their bank cards.
