Bandits k!ll eight, injure 20 in Southern Kaduna Attack

Armed bandits launched a deadly assault on Wake village in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, k!lling eight people and leaving at least 20 others wounded, some in critical condition.

The attackers also kidnapped an unspecified number of locals during the attack which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 7, 2025.

As of the time of this report, the community is conducting burials for the deceased while mobilizing to care for the severely injured.

The exact number of individuals abducted remains unknown.

No official statement has yet been issued by the Kaduna State Police Command.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Kachia Local Government Council, Hon. Manzo Daniel Maigari, in the company of the Vice Chairman, Hon. Peter Agite, and a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Kachia constituency, paid a humanitarian visit to the injured victims who are receiving treatment at St. Gerald Hospital.
