Bayern Munich are reportedly prepared to offer Michael Olise a lucrative new contract featuring a potential Ballon d’Or bonus as they look to secure the French winger’s long-term future.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the German champions are open to including a special clause that would reward Olise financially if he wins the football’s most prestigious individual award.
Olise’s current deal runs until 2029, but Bayern are reportedly considering extending it to 2032 as they seek to fend off interest from other European giants.
Bayern prepare lucrative offer for Olise
Reports from Sky suggest Bayern could offer the 24-year-old an annual salary of around €25 million, potentially placing him in the same earning bracket as Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.
Olise is currently believed to earn approximately €14 million per year, meaning the proposed terms would represent a significant increase.
Bayern are keen to reward his performances since arriving from Crystal Palace in 2024 for a reported €53 million and ensure he remains central to their long-term plans.
Real Madrid have previously been linked with the France international, although reports indicate the Spanish club did not submit a concrete offer last summer. Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be monitoring his situation.
Release clause could decide negotiations
Despite Bayern’s willingness to offer improved terms, one reported demand could complicate the negotiations.
Sources close to Olise suggest the winger would want a release clause included in any new contract, giving him a potential route out of the club in the future.
He previously had such a provision at Crystal Palace, which Bayern activated when signing him in 2024.
However, Olise’s current Bayern contract reportedly contains no release clause, with sporting director Max Eberl having previously addressed speculation about the issue.
The club may also delay more intensive discussions over Olise’s future while prioritising Kane’s contract situation. According to Sport Bild, Kane’s deal expires next summer, making the England captain’s renewal an immediate concern for Bayern.
Olise’s performances strengthen his position
Olise’s form has helped explain Bayern’s determination to retain him.
He has registered eight goals and four assists in seven competitive appearances this season.
He has also impressed with France, drawing attention for a spectacular goal against Italy and earning praise from national team coach Zinedine Zidane, who described him as a “born leader”.
