A Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos has fixed June 9, 2026 to decide the bail application of popular social media personality Blessing CEO, who is facing allegations of fraud involving ₦36 million.

A Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, has fixed June 9, 2026 to rule on the bail application of popular social media influencer and relationship therapist Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO, who is facing a N36 million fraud charge.

Justice D.I. Dipeolu announced the ruling date following proceedings on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Blessing CEO is being prosecuted by the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 on a two-count charge of obtaining by false pretence and stealing.

At the hearing, her defence counsel P.I. Nwafor informed the court that she had already refunded N24 million of the N36 million in dispute to the complainant, and sought an adjournment to allow the outstanding balance to be resolved.

He added that the complainant had indicated a willingness to prevail on the EFCC to drop the case if the remaining sum was paid.

However, EFCC prosecutor S.I. Suleiman rejected any suggestion that the commission was party to settlement discussions, stressing that the complainant in the matter is the Federal Government of Nigeria and that the defendant was required to take her plea.

Justice Dipeolu agreed, ruling that private discussions between the defendant and the nominal complainant could not halt criminal proceedings before the court.

The judge ordered Blessing CEO to take her plea and subsequently remanded her in EFCC custody pending further proceedings.

The case will return to court on June 9, when a decision on her bail application is expected.
