Manchester United have suffered a potential injury setback after midfielder Carlos Baleba reportedly picked up an injury during their UEFA Champions League clash against AS Roma.
The Cameroon international was involved in the encounter at Old Trafford but his evening was disrupted by the injury concern, raising questions about his availability for Manchester United’s upcoming fixtures.
Baleba has become an important part of United’s midfield plans, with his physical presence, energy and ability to win possession making him a valuable option in the centre of the pitch. He was substituted in the early stages of the secomd half after he went down on his own as he was about to get a goal back for the Red Devils.
His potential absence would be an unwanted setback for Michael Carrick, particularly as Manchester United look to improve their performances and return to winning ways. However, the severity of the injury has yet to be officially confirmed.
Supporters will be waiting for further information from the club regarding the midfielder’s condition and how long he could be sidelined. Manchester United face Aston Villa in their final game before the international break.
