Streamer and content creator Carter Efe has shared a surprising spiritual claim linked to his recent boxing win over singer Portable.
He made the revelation during a live session with businessman E-Money, where he spoke about what allegedly happened before the celebrity boxing bout held at the “Chaos in the Ring 4” event in Lagos.
Carter Efe had earlier stunned fans after defeating Portable via unanimous decision at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos. The judges all scored in his favour, ending Portable’s unbeaten streak in celebrity boxing matches.
During the livestream discussion, Carter Efe said he took one of his boxing gloves to Olumo Rock ahead of the fight. He claimed that a cleric prayed over the glove and poured olive oil into it.
According to him, an unusual incident followed immediately after the oil was applied, as smoke reportedly began to rise from the glove. He added that he was told at the time that victory was guaranteed.
His account drew mixed reactions on the livestream, with some listeners reacting in shock while others laughed in disbelief. E-Money also burst into laughter during the story and turned to Carter Efe’s associate to confirm what he had just heard.
Meanwhile, Carter Efe has now received his ₦50 million prize money following his win over Portable. A viral video showed E-Money presenting the cheque to him while he was in a swimming pool.
Prior to receiving the payment, Carter Efe had complained during a livestream that he had not yet been paid despite putting himself at risk in the fight.
