Champions League: Supercomputer Predicts Trophy Winners Ahead Of Quarter-finals

The Opta SuperComputer is backing Arsenal to clinch the first Champions League trophy in the club’s history this year.

Mikel Arteta’s men saw off Bayer Leverkusen in the Round of 16 and will now play Sporting in the quarter-final.

They have been given a 29.95% chance of winning the competition.

Bayern Munich, who thrashed Atalanta 10-2 over two legs, have been given a 18.02% chance.

Following their 7-2 win over Newcastle United in the second leg, Barcelona now have a 14.74% probability of winning the Champions League.

Current holders Paris Saint-Germain have been given a 12.15% chance of retaining the trophy.

Arsenal – 29.95%

Bayern Munich – 18.02%

Barcelona – 14.74%

PSG – 12.15%
