The Champions League kicked off with its expanded format on Tuesday night, with fixtures all over Europe.

Current holders Real Madrid had to fight back from a goal down to defeat Stuttgart 3-1 at the Bernabeu.

Kylian Mbappe gave the LaLiga giants the lead, before Deniz Undav levelled with the header.

But Antonio Rudiger and Endrick scored to ensure Madrid won.

In other games, Liverpool also came back from conceding early in Milan to win 3-1.

Bayern Munich thrashed Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 and Sporting Lisbon beat Lille 2-0 at home.
