Content creator Peter Ugochukwu Okafor, popularly known as Ugo Eaglet, says returning home from Europe is the best decision he has ever made.
In an Instagram post, he revealed that the high cost of living abroad had become unbearable, noting, “These expenses were just too much. I’m not discouraging anyone from travelling you have to travel to understand. But when you travel and make it, come back to your home country. Instead of paying unnecessary bills there, come back and invest in Nigeria.”
Eaglet disclosed that while in Austria, he paid €1,700 for rent, €240 for electricity, and €400 for health insurance monthly. He said many men abroad, especially those above 50, secretly wish to return home but face resistance from their wives.
Praising his wife for her support, he wrote, “Anywhere you go, I will follow you. Honey, what are we even still doing here? I’m even bored here, let’s go back to our country.”
He added, “I thank God for giving me a caring, loving and understanding wife. Jenny Slimzy is the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Since moving back, Eaglet said life has been more peaceful. “Coming back to Nigeria is the best decision I made this year. Now I sleep like a baby, no more unnecessary bills or expenses,” he said.
